Usually Sean quotes are funny, witty, thought-provoking. This one was an error and made me bust ten guts.
First, some information. I have a friend who told me that, for some strange reason, she wants to call Julian "Roman." She says he just looks like a Roman. I think it's funny, and have felt that way about other people who were named the wrong name (even though Julian wasn't. And Roman is a fine name.) I told this to Sean and he said he could see it, that he had even considered Roman. Funny.
Then, days later, Sean says to me, "Who was your friend who thought Julian should be named Caesar?"

Maybe that's why your friend associated him with the name Roman, after the famous Julian Caesar. Ha ha.

Roman? Really? Have you started dressing Julian in velor sweat suits and gold chains? Does he speak with a heavy Brooklyn accent about a mysterious "family"? Does he now own an Italian restaurant and dry cleaners that may or may not be fronts for illegal cockfighting?
Hey, it's been years now but after coming across this post it's not THAT funny, Jen. Cesar is a totally acceptable name and is commonly used, especially in particular cultures. I'm glad I've grown up at least a little bit since this post.
