confession

When I am invited to a friendly gathering of friends these days, I rarely offer to bring something. This is not because I forget, though sometimes i actually do, but it's more often due to the fact that I grow lazier by the second and just don't want to bring another thing. Amazingly, we still sometimes get invites. ha ha. (dear friends who invite me: i think you're swell.)

Alright, give me one of yours you've been thinking about lately. Let it out.

I'm going to put this on my blog, too, but every night when I open my scriptures to read my daily chapter, if it's a short chapter, I'm really happy about that. Some day I hope to love reading the scriptures as much as I love a good novel! But that day has certainly not arrived yet...

Don't feel guilty about the food. I never offer because it never even occurs to me. How clueless is that??? (Although if I thought you were going to make chocolate pudding cups, I would definitely be hoping that you would offer!)

I'm really bad at getting gifts for people. Part of it is money (trying to find something I can afford), part of it is forgetting, and part of it is sheer laziness. I always feel really bad and I keep hoping to do better next time. I'll keep you posted on if I actually do better or not...

I don't mop my kitchen floor. I just pull out two wet wipes, stand on them, and then just shuffle around a little. I'm almost too ashamed to post this. Almost.

When I was around 5, I stole a pack of gum from the grocery store when I was shopping with my mom. To this day I'm not sure if she knows.

I have killed a man.

Andrew, how can anyone top that, now? Way to put the kibosh on any further comments, besides this one.

(But I did laugh.)

Here are all of my thoughts on all of your confessions:

Joel, you'd better tell her. Clear your conscience.

Natalie: I hear ya. But i don't think this is really anything to confess. It's hard to buy gifts for people because it's like, where does it end? Who do I draw the line at??? I'm a giver.

Scoresbys: I totally lol'ed at this. Love love it. Kind of like when I spill water on the floor and i'm like, sweet! wipe it up, now i've mopped.

Others: i laughed at yours, you are funny.
