Spoons

Spoons is on the list of things I love. I love spoons. I love special spoons. A spoon can make or break a meal. A good spoon can make all the difference. Because I'm cool, I took some pictures of my collection of spoons. The collection is small but the love is not. What a perfect thing to see on a Monday, the best day for spoons.

First, the long small dessert spoons. I love them. These are used for yogurt and desserts.

Second, I love the soup spoons. Sean got these for me many moons ago and all 5 are unique & antique. Love.

I have talked about this before, but let's not forget the special fish spoon used for birthdays with its knife & fork counterparts.

And probably my most favorite spoon of all, what I have been known to call "my precious" is this: the long trowelly spoon. Slightly square, small face, and perfect. These are used to eat soup as well, and cereal usually.

I have a tiny little spoon made out of mother of pearl but I can't find it anywhere. :( Here is a pic i found online though. It looks a lot like this. It is a caviar spoon and I use it to eat all my caviar and also yogurt.

These spoons are dear to my heart. It doesn't take much to please me. And please me they do.

Special thanks to the breadboard for providing a ni ce background. I love you too, breadboard.

These are beautiful, Jen! But i have a moral question for you: would you ever buy the collectable, mini, souveniry-type spoons for display only? Or do you believe that a spoon not used is a spoon wasted?

wow, someone commented on my boring spoons post. :D

I would not do that. I do believe that a spoon not used is a spoon wasted. They're nice to look at, sure, but should really be used. That is where their true beauty lies, as are all things--their usefulness. Just kidding, i make little to no sense.

I have a set of spoons that are also on the short-list of things to grab if the house ever catches fire. I really loved reading this blog, and your spoons are impeccable!
