You had me at "Rarrr!"

Tonight while watching TV, I was torn having to decide between two shows. These are the shows: Jurassic Park 3 and The Firm. It was hard. Now, to make this decision, one might weigh out the pros & cons of each show.

Now, take Jurassic Park 3. Dinosaurs are cool. It's action adventure, which I love. Sam Neil is a really good actor. Michael Crichton, yeah, yeah.

On the other hand, Jurassic Park 3 is absolutely ridiculous. I mean, it's just awful. The script was written by a monkey and basically, nothing is believable. True, it's about dinosaurs (which do not exist now), but I defy you to bring me anyone who didn't sit during the first one, stunned, mouth agape, and then have nightmares of velociraptors in the days and weeks to follow. Also, to his credit, it's important to mention that Michael Crichton did NOT write JP 3. But still. Dinosaurs are cool.

So then there's The Firm. Tom Cruise is entertaining and runs really fast. Written by John Grisham. I'm a fan. (How many times have i seen and read Pelican Brief?? Interestingly, JP & PB both came out in 1993,) I mean, it has Gene Hackman, Wilford Brimley?? ALL the makings for a good legal thriller.

Well, I went back and forth. Few minutes here, few minutes there. Here, there, here, there, back and forth, again and again, etc, until I gave up and chose one. I'm ashamed, I admit, but in the end, as we all predicted, dinosaurs won me over.

The real shame in this, though, is that I had just seen it, as it was on last night too. *hanging head*

I have a friend that has "an unhealthy obsession with dinosaurs." That's a direct quote. I didn't see JP3 but JP1 was more than enough dino-action for me. I think I may have chosen The Firm.

I watched High School Musical 2 two nights in a row. You tell me: which is worse?

Oh, goodness THAT.

We just barely got cable so we're seeing shows i've heard about but knew nothing of, really. We were flipping through the other night and stopped on HSM for a minute to see what it was all about. We sat there, stunned, mouths agape. But not in the good, holy-crap-those-dinosaurs-look-so-real-and-scary kind of way.

Oh, Kelli. Why? why...

I'm sorry, but someone has to stand up for Kelli. I, a grown woman (27 yrs old?),with two kids, have also watched High School Musical more times than I care to admit. The first one of course. I have yet to be THAT obsessive with HSM2. I want people to know that you need to have a love and appreciation for the music in order to put up with most of the acting. Maybe those who have sat, with their mouths agape will try and watch it again with that in mind. :)

Oh Jen. Truly, this is sad. The monkey-written sequel beat out a good Tom Cruise flick.

Why? WHY?!?

PS. I own High School Musical. I guess this is a pot calling the kettle black moment.

I want to see High School Musical and Tom Cruise bugs to all get out....talk about type casting.

Honestly, you just needed to watch it for about 5 more minutes and you would have been hooked too. Something about it sucks you in. Plus, the fact that it was filmed in UT is kind of fun.

Ok, guys. Since everyone loves it, and i only watched 11 seconds of it, I will try it again. I am not above lame stuff. :D j/k

But--michelle don't hate on Tom. Typecasting isn't always bad. He's good at what he does. He's the white Denzel Washington. Plus, again, have you SEEN how fast he can run? Every time he runs for his life in movies (all), it's like he's a human bullet.
