balleh?

You hear about everyone's adorable little girl taking ballet lessons.  It's the thing to do.  Boys do karate, girls do ballet.  right?    Except, I never did ballet. Maybe it wasn't popular in the early 80's.  Or, i'm wondering if my mom took one look at my 3-year-old self and said, "Mm...... no."

If it makes you feel better, I didn't do ballet either. In fact, I'm the only one of my sisters who didn't! I did soccer instead, and yes - it was way cooler. ;0)

I know! Why didn't we? We were talking about this the other day with Steph, because she did all sorts of dance stuff when she was a kid. Maybe it was the fact that there were a million other kids in the family and dance classes were not top priority. Who knows.

Yeah, i think that's what it was. Mom was like, "Jen? Ash? Who?" just kidding Mom. :D

What we did instead was build hiding places in the bushes and live in the pantry.

And, I'm pretty sure these classes are 20% for the kid's sake and 80% for the parent's. Since we had other kids to entertain us, done & done.

Halle has always loved her ballet lessons, but lately she's been asking us to take karate. I don't know where she got the idea, but it might be nice to toughen her up a bit, she's afraid to go in our backyard by herself. First because of scorpions, and now because of kidnappers. We have to stop letting her talk to her cousins.
