Important Question

If you were to name a child after a fruit, which fruit would it be?

I've got mine:   Honeydew.

I read a book once about a girl named Honey and she seemed really cool.  Honeydew is one step better.

Alright, give me yours.  This is serious.

I can't decide between Quince and Persimmon.

I said fruits, Joel, not made-up words.

just kiddin'. I feel like Persimmon might work but maybe more for a boy. Persy. Sim?

Oh, and Durian sounds pretty cool, but there might be a stigma.

Apricot is pretty cute, but I might not feel right about naming a child after a fruit I don't really like.

Marionberry... marion for short. I also know a Cherry that pulls the name off nicely.

I would name my daughter Grape. Grape for short. Or just "G" if we live in the hood.

Pineapple. Cause I look tough on the outside but inside I'm sweet and delicious. Plus my hair is kinda spikey.

Ok, are you naming a daughter, Rob, or yourself? Or a daughter who looks just like you?

I think my favorite is Marionberry. Genius. It's adorable. Plus, the jam is really, really good.

So fruit names are exclusive to girls now?!

uhh... this is funny because in my mind i totally meant "if you were to name a daughter" and now i see i actually wrote "if you were to name a child." my bad.

though, that still doesn't explain naming yourself.

Dang, you caught me. I skimmed over the first sentence and thought we were just picking fruit names.

This question was on a list of possible interview questions someone once gave me. And Pineapple came to mind for the reason above. I was SO HOPING I would get asked that question but, alas, it never happened. I would have rocked that it.

Cameron's initial reaction was kiwi, but then decided to go with passion fruit. In all seriousness, though, how about Rowan.

I much prefer naming fruit after people, in which case, I would name all fruit, "Steve".
