I want a million dollars. Hot dog!

Our discussion on favorite/least favorite Christmas songs made me think about Christmas movies. Some people have certain movies they must watch to make it really feel like Christmas. For Sean, this include It's a Wonderful Life. Sadly, I'd never seen it until a couple of years ago. I know. Talk about causing a rift in the marriage. But i saw it and it's all good now. We're actually watching it right now and took a brief intermission. That "hot dog!" part makes me bust up. Ahh.. good stuff.

Home Alone is a fun one for me. I just like it. Who doesn't?

I'm trying to think of others that i like and weirdly, i can't. I can think of a few that i can do without. For instance, those old school clay-looking movies, like with rudolph and the snow creatures or jack frost or something. Remember those, made back in like 1809? Man alive, they are scary. Classic or no classic, i'll take no nightmares, thank you. But whatever floats your boat. Hmm.. what else? I am lame. I can't think of anything else. Mostly i wanted to hear what others' are and maybe that will remind me of mine. So tell us, which movies make it Christmastime for you? Or which are movies that suck out a little bit of your soul.

Jen, how can you forget A Christmas Story?! We watched the 24 hour marathon when I was labor with Jared.

I like Muppet Christmas Carol too.

I like The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. and The Grinch, despite Jim Carrey. I saw part of The Nativity on TV the other night, and that seemed pretty good too.

A Christmas Story, of course. And, A Christmas Carol. It is good stuff. Also, i kind of really like Love, Actually.

I usually watch the Lord of the Rings trilogy around Christmas. I'm not sure why, except that the movies originally came out around then, and I got the trilogy for Christmas one year. I guess that just goes to show that Pavlov's dogs will salivate for a whistle as well as a bell.

Yeah, The Nativity one is really good. It made me think of things I hadn't really thought of. Totally recommend it. I like the Christmas Story. It reminds me of my dad. He laughs so hard when he watches it.

I also do not like the old claymation shows. I know they are classic, but yeah, they freak me out.

Miracle On 34th Street with Natalie Wood! It's simply not Christmas without that and Wonderful Life. :0)

A Christmas Story is a must in our family. I also like Christmas Vacation, the old Grinch, It's a Wonderful Life, and White Christmas (which I happen to be watching/listening to right now). I like the old claymation. Makes me laugh.

Oh, and Elf is excellent as well.

I agree about White Christmas. My wife has it, and when we watched it together I almost chewed my leg off to get away from there, before realizing that I wasn't actually chained up.
