It's that time of year again, when millions upon millions of art comes together for the biggest artistic smorgasboard in one location ever to occur. Ok, i am not sure if that's really true, but it is for me, and from my point of view, it's true. So if I think it's true, then it is, for me at least. i don't know what i just said.
Anyway, Sean and I are prepping ourselves for this all-day artathon event called The Armory Show that sets us back $20/person but is well worth it. But we have to be ready. We cannot take this on half-a'ed, if you will. We're in it for the long haul. So, we'll get some good sleep tonight, eat a large breakfast tomorrow, take some vitamins, pack some water and perhaps some energy bars (well, no. those are gross. but snacks of some kind) and wear comfortable shoes. I wish I had a fanny pack. Darn.
Picture this: West Side. Right on the Hudson. They transform 2 piers into the biggest and most tightly compacted art exhibition. (it's indoors though) They set up small booths with separators and hang art wherever the heck they can. Galleries from all over the country are represented. Artists, well-known and not show their stuff. Digital art, oil paintings, crazy sculptures greet you at every turn. Prepare your eyes for art overload. I will be sure to take my camera and snap the best stuff.
