Tag

So, one of my new favorite things lately is teaching Julian the game of Tag.  It's a classic, right?  Even better is a small one who doesn't quite understand it yet gets a lot of joy out of yelling "Tag! You're it!!"  and running wildly around and around in small circles. And even better than that, when I explain to him he needs to touch me and yell, "tag, you're it" he will reach out and tag me with his elbow.   That's right, his elbow.  As if I'm filth and he doesn't want to get contaminated. Or he's completely humoring me and can't bother to stretch his arm all the way out. Dang funniest thing ever, to me.

And on a loosely related note, I will now post random questions and my answers because who doesn't love these. No one actually tagged me; i guess I tagged myself, which is apparently what i have to do when I play with Julian.
  1. What animal are you most afraid of?  Centipedes aren't my friends. But ever since i heard about giant house-eating snails, those may have haunted my dreams now and then. And based on that,  I guess i'm going to have to say velociraptor.
  2. What is your favorite thing to do on vacation?  i love me a sandy beach. I pride myself in being pret-ty good at being lazy, and the beach is a place that really lets me shine.  However, I also love an adventure. So, i just don't know.
  3. What are your top three favorite movies?  I'm going to say... Lord of the Rings, Rear Window, and Twelve Angry Men.  I love movies that take place in basically the same setting, like a play. Which LOTR is a perfect example of, obv.  For my birthday last year, Sean gave me the book/play of Twelve Angry Men and it's a dream of mine to act it out.  Anyone want to join me? I need eleven.
  4. What are some characteristics you look for in a friend? Basically anyone who responds to something I said in somewhat the way I had intended.  Now, if someone can anticipate it, and even does it themselves? Soul friend.   To answer this another way, though, to be quite honest, I love me some light-heartedness.  I can talk about this or that and topics of life and humanity, but often what i really want in a friend is someone I can talk about Saved By the Bell with. (Of course, that's not all frivolity. If you'll remember this moment. Emmy-worthy scene anyone?)
  5. Do you consider yourself creative? Geez, where do I BEGIN.
  6. Do you believe in ghosts?  I did last night when I had to pee, and almost did, on myself, whilst ambling to the bathroom in the dark.  Curse my childlike imagination!
  7. Which do you prefer and why: Hummus or Baba ganoush? I am confused. I guess I'm to assume that Baba ganoush is a food and not a character on Star Wars, and if that's the case, then I say hummus.
  8. What’s the nerdiest thing about you? Geez, where do I BEGIN.  Probably my husband Sean. Zing! :D
  9. What would be your ideal pet?   Hmm... i don't know. Maybe a baby fox?
  10. What was the last book you finished?  Why, that would be Babysitters Club Mystery #14--Stacey and the Mystery at the Mall. Thanks again, V.B.)
  11. Doctor Who or Sherlock?  Please, are you kidding me? (I <3 U 4-EVER, S.H.) I don't even know who Doctor Who is.  I would have said, "Doctor who?"  but it would not have helped.
  12. If money were no object, where would you travel in the world? World?? Try universe! Hello, I'd like one ticket to Mars, please.

Sad or Soul friend (soul cousin?) that I was expecting that very SBTB scene when I clicked on that link?

Fact: I was in 12 Angry Women in high school. Fact: it's the same script as the man one, just with juror ladies. I was 3, or 11. Or whichever one is really angry. I could dust off the old chops for a reading. Count me in.

Also, I also love Rear Window.

Doctor Who and Sherlock Holmes share some personality traits, you know. The both solve mysteries and are mildly supercilious, and have a sidekick along for the ride while they battle killers. Plus Steven Moffat has written for both shows and does a great job.
