11:11

Since the early days of our acquaintance, Sean has reminded me of a story of an old college roommate/friend(?) from his freshman days. This guy, let's call him Kenneth, was in a relationship with a girl, let's call Kandis.  And this Kenneth made the fatal mistake of inviting his friends into his serious freshman year relationship by divulging a sacred tradition he and Kandis started and it was this:  Wherever they were in the day, at 11:11, AM or PM, they would stop and think of the other.

Obviously this is not going to be quietly accepted by your male friends in particular, and Sean said whenever they were together (probably when Kenneth wasn't there) they would say "Shhh! It's 11:11.  Think of Kenneth and Kandis."     He doesn't know whatever became of them, but is sure they didn't end up together.  But for 8 years now, Sean and I have continued this tradition:  "Stop! It's 11:11. Think of Kenneth and Kandis."    And it just makes me laugh, and it also makes me wonder what idiotic things my friends of yore remember me by. Sigh.

When you made the pantry your house and wouldn't let anyone in...

When you used to wear jogging-suit pants and slippers to school...

Should I continue? :D

I liked this. I like it when Sean mocks. Also, I sometimes get a little bit excited when I look at the clock and see that it's exactly 11:30, which, if you don't remember, is my birthday.

Pffft, you know these things about me but it's not what you remember me by. You have these "unique," somewhat "embarrassing" "qualities" of mine but you also have all my maaaany many wonderful attributes to compare them to. But what about those one or two things that will always stick out as the defining memories or characteristics of someone, those that lingered with you from the last day you parted ways that will forevermore be who they are? What about THOSE.

Like the time Mom told the lady at the store that you were a loser?

Okay, so she didn't actually know you, or even meet you, but that lingered with her, I'm sure.

I may be missing the whole point you're trying to make here, but I am enjoying listing all of these funny things about you.

Whenever I look at the clock and it's 11:11, I remember this story that Sean told me at some point at BYU. I thought the kid was leaving on his mission, so they were supposed to think about each other each day until they were reunited. lol, Ryan knows the story too. May "Kenneth and Kandice" never know of our silent mocking... or their spouses! ha-ha
