Climb to the Summit

Tonight I participated in my 10-year high school reunion. I saw many familiar faces and recalled their names to the best of my ability. I spoke with several people and tried to appear sincere with my questions. Not that I wasn't, because I was with most of them, but you know how it is. I was afraid of talking with someone and me, being the slightly awkward conversationalist that I am, facing the peril of lurching into "small talk zone" with people I hardly knew back in the day & trying to ask something good and interesting and ending up saying something bizarre or inappropriate. Gladly this only happened a couple of times. And when it did, it was fine, and even good. The whole night was pleasant. It is nice to see people you knew way back when even if you didn't know them well. An interesting event took place where someone got their hands onto my blog address and by that i mean they asked what it was and I told them, and then they started handing it out to people. So now, in addition to my mom's old high school friend, a cousin I think I met once, and other random people, I will now be thinking of these high school friends when I type stupid posts and publish them on the world wide web. So this one's for you, everyone, assuming you weren't lying to my face when you said you would check it out. And if you were, well, no harm no foul.

That's fun. I still haven't decided if I'll go to mine next year or not. But then, it might be a moot point depending on where Cameron and I end up for residency!
