A Fort Night

Carved into my final draft of my golden list of loves, etched into fossilized stone, resides one great love, to be worn away only by time and weather. And that is my love of forts. Forts are one of the greatest joys of childhood that I have brought with me and continue to love with all my heart. A fort is intricate, requiring a complex design using math, engineering, and perhaps some chemistry. The perfect fort is cozy yet open. It should cover you completely and blocks out all sound and light. Its enclosure should be a cave of blankets & furniture that makes you forget you're in your living room.

Behold our perfect fort!

I love that you make forts. I agree that they're a great carry-over from childhood. Can we make one when I visit?
